This section should be titled “What not to do to get a good photograph.”  Start by buying a mid-range 35mm camera with a non-detachable lens. Don’t bother with a flash attachment.  Focus and lighting are optional.  Learn the hard way that a polarizer would be helpful when photographing clouds. Top it off by processing your own black and white film negatives with just rudimentary lessons.
